Looking over website statistics, I noticed a fair number of inbound links from a Belfast Bay Cruises. Imagine my surprise to find out that there is a bi-weekly boat that comes over to Castine from Belfast! Well now, that’s something! At least in the summer it looks like I could do my shopping Belfast on Thursdays or Saturdays. While the company does not guarantee service any particular day, they instruct customers to call by 10 a.m. the day of the departure to make sure the boat is going.

What a great way to get to Castine, see the sights and not have to drive down the Castine Road, which in an informal poll during Celebrate Castine this past week was voted the single worst road in Maine.
